Who we are
This website is operated by Alexandra Ellen, trading as Isle of Man Luxury Property, of Bay House, College Green, Castletown, Isle of Man. We are responsible for the personal information you give us through this website. You can contact us by phone on 07584 070042 or through our contact form.
What information we collect
When you send an enquiry through our contact form, we collect the details you choose to give us: your name, email address, phone number, the property you are enquiring about and your message. If you phone us, we will have your phone number and any details you give us during the call.
We do not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers on this website.
How we use it
We use your information only to answer your enquiry, arrange viewings and deal with any sale or letting that follows. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
We will not sell your information, and we will not use it to send you marketing.
Who we share it with
- Our website host, Netlify, Inc., which receives and stores contact form submissions and forwards them to us by email. Netlify may process data in the United States.
- Our email provider, which stores the enquiries we receive.
- Google Fonts: the typeface on this site is loaded from Google's servers, so Google receives your device's IP address when you view a page.
Where your information is processed outside the Isle of Man, the European Economic Area or the UK, we rely on our providers' standard safeguards for international transfers.
Owners who advertise with us
If you apply to advertise a property, we use the details in your application to review it, check your identity and authority to market the property, take payment and manage your listing. We rely on taking steps at your request to enter into a contract with you.
Enquiries about privately advertised properties
Some listings are advertised privately by their owners. If you send an enquiry about one of these, it is sent automatically and directly to that property's owner, who will use your details to respond. The owner is then responsible for how they use your information.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry, and no longer than 12 months after it has concluded, unless we need to keep information longer for a sale, a tenancy or a legal obligation.
Your rights
Under Isle of Man data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our using it. To make a request, use our contact form or call us. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Isle of Man Information Commissioner (inforights.im).
